St.Mary's English High School had its small beginning in 1943. Initially this school was run by ardent lay Catholics. However, in 1980, the management of the school was handed over to the Bishop of Jamshedpur. St.Mary's is a co-educational school and caters primarily to the middle income and lower income groups. The responsibility for the day to day running of the school is vested in the hands of the Principal. St.Mary's is not an aided school and fees are its only income. Hence fees have to be adjusted from time to time, to keep up with the rising costs and salaries. As a Catholic School, St.Mary's draws its inspiration and guidance from the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. As such, due importance is given to the faith formation of the Catholic Students through Religious instruction. |
